Katherine Trinkaus

Kate is currently pursuing a DPhil in Condensed Matter Physics as a Clarendon Scholar. Her research goal is to improve the performance of organic solar cells — the solar technology with the lowest environmental footprint — so they can help accelerate the renewable energy transition. She earned her MPhys from the University of St Andrews, and she took a gap year before coming to Oxford to work with a range of climate action organizations including Sierra Club, Sunrise Movement, and New Haven Climate Movement. Kate is deeply passionate about working to reverse the climate crisis in a just, equitable way. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, drawing, embroidery, and reading.
