Good leadership for a better world

We are celebrating 10 years of impact, and this is only the beginning. Join us in our fundraising campaign to take character-based leadership from Oxford to the world.

Why now?

From social inequality to political division to sustainability, leaders around the globe are faced with complex challenges. Addressing these challenges requires leaders of character: individuals with integrity, courage, empathy, and a commitment to the common good.

At the Oxford Character Project, we have spent the last decade performing industry-informed research and launching award-winning educational programmes on character and leadership. We do this work because we believe – and our research suggests – that ethical and effective leadership is needed to solve today’s most urgent challenges.

Our community of wise thinkers and good leaders is growing, but the problems facing today’s leaders are immense. We need your support to continue and expand the trainings and research to move the needle when preparing leaders to make an impact.

There are many ways to contribute, including donating what you can, discussing a corporate, foundation or programmatic investment with our team, making an introduction to an individual who might be interested in our work, or sharing how the Oxford Character Project has impacted you.

“After completing your Leading with Character course, I felt inspired and deeply affirmed. The values you teach carried me through the highs and lows of elite sport, and they now drive my mission to equip the next generation.”

Partner with us

While billions are spent each year on leadership development, there is little investment in character. This presents a profound opportunity for the Oxford Character Project and our partners to shape better leaders and better institutions.

We work closely with corporate, government, and charity partners to:

  • Drive interdisciplinary, industry-informed research that helps us understand new ways of measuring and developing character and leadership
  • Distil our research findings into actionable insights for industry leaders
  • Launch transformational education programmes that have been proven to develop ethical and effective leaders
