Dr Jonathan Brant
Founding Director
Dr Jonathan Brant served as the Founding Director of the Oxford Character Project from 2014 to 2023 and is currently involved as an Associate Fellow. He is the Dean for Research and Culture at Wycliffe Hall, University of Oxford, where he heads up a new initiative – The Renaissance Project. Jonathan wrote a DPhil in Theology at Trinity College, Oxford, focusing on culture and the arts, particularly cinema. He continues teaching and research as a member of Oxford University’s Theology Faculty. Jonathan is married to Tricia and has an adult son, Isaac. When not working, he might be found walking in the Cotswolds or watching films in a local cinema.
