2022 Global Leadership Initiative
Ariana is pursuing an MSc in Cognitive and Evolutionary Anthropology. Her research focuses on agency, emotional regulation, and social bonding. She is currently training as a Bereavement Support Volunteer with Cruse Bereavement Care and is the MCR Women’s Officer at her college, Harris Manchester. Before coming to Oxford, Ariana graduated with a BSc in Global Health from Queen Mary University of London, where she focused on the motivational role of hope for students' engagement in studies. She is committed to decolonizing historically marginalizing power structures and strongly believes in mutual aid and harm reduction frameworks for human rights. Ariana enjoys deep walk-talks with friends, yoga, her morning cappuccino, and her cat, Johan Galtung.
