Fergus Linley-Mota

Fergus is reading for an MSc in Global Governance and Diplomacy at St. Cross College. Prior to arriving at Oxford, he co-founded the Cities + Climate Initiative in Vancouver, Canada, which holds dialogues between leaders across levels of government and civil society in order to advance the integration of cities into Canada's climate plans. While here, his research will focus primarily on how local governments participate in and shape global governance. Both personally and professionally, Fergus is passionate about climate action, democratic renewal and international relations, and much of his work and studies have been focused on driving meaningful change in these areas. He has been recognized by the St. Gallen Symposium as a Global Leader of Tomorrow. In his spare time, Fergus enjoys playing football, making and listening to music, and exploring the world with his friends and family.
