Jon Beale

Jon Beale is an Associate Fellow of the Oxford Character Project and a Research Affiliate at the Human Flourishing Program at Harvard. His work focuses on promoting flow states and human flourishing in the workplace and education. He is co-founder of Flow Prone, a high performance training and coaching organisation, and co-hosts Flourish FM: a podcast for the good life, which has featured many of the world’s leading experts on flourishing. Jon holds a PhD in philosophy and has previously held positions as Academic Visitor at St Antony’s College, Oxford, Researcher in Residence at Eton College, and Fellow in Philosophy at Harvard. He has published articles on philosophy and education in leading academic journals and media outlets, including the New York Times. These include publications on character education, especially how to build academic resilience. He is co-editor of four books, including The Future of Education, recently published by Oxford University Press.
