Overview of the event:
At a time of significant uncertainty when humanity faces major economic, social, and environmental challenges around the world, the need for good leadership is more pressing than ever. The urgency of global challenges and the need to do more and move faster has resulted in calls for courageous moral leadership. Now, we need a new generation of leaders who will further the flourishing of society and the planet, placing the public good above personal gain. We need to rethink the idea and practice of leadership to successfully face the complex challenges that lie before us.
This poses a question for those responsible for educating the leaders of tomorrow and for aspiring leaders themselves: How can a generation of talented and ambitious students become the leaders they want to see in the world? How can they grow as leaders, embodying character qualities needed to lead in a way that pursues justice, builds trust, and embraces diversity?
This conversation with Chairman Hussain Dawood will give students an opportunity to consider character qualities that are essential for leadership, guiding their vision for themselves and shaping how they might exercise leadership, both now and into the future.
