The stage is set for the fifth Global Leadership Challenge (GLC), a joint initiative by the University of Oxford and the St. Gallen Symposium, bringing together the world’s brightest young minds and visionary leaders to tackle some of the most pressing challenges of our time. From December 12–16, 2024, 100 exceptional young leaders from more than 50 countries will connect virtually, focusing on developing actionable solutions for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3, 4, and 13—Health, Education, and Climate Action.
With over 5,000 applications pouring in, this year’s GLC demonstrates a powerful global appetite for collaboration and change among the next generation of leaders. Participants will not only engage in high-stakes dialogues with senior leaders but also collaborate with each other to develop project ideas aimed at advancing the UN SDGs. This intergenerational exchange will build on GLC’s tradition of candid conversations with world leaders, including Alphabet Inc. Chair John L. Hennessy and former Costa Rican President Luis Guillermo Solís.
The GLC isn’t just a leadership conference —it’s a catalyst for global impact and a challenge for young people to contribute to the UN SDGs actively. Stay tuned for more updates as young leaders and seasoned experts unite to share insights and ignite bold ideas toward a more sustainable and equitable future.
